The Atlanta MadHatters Hockey Club is proud to announce the hiring of Yan Kaminsky as the program’s Director of Youth Hockey and Player Development. Yan comes to the MadHatters as one of the most experienced hockey directors and player development coaches in the South East, with over 20 years of experience. During his time in coaching, Yan has lead youth teams aged 12-18 to multiple national championships and advanced countless players to the highest levels of hockey in the country. Coach Yan’s professional playing career includes an induction in the Russian Hockey Hall of Fame, Two Gold and Silver medals, A world Championship with the Russian National team, and a successful NHL playing career with the Winnipeg Jets and New York Islanders, after being drafted 99th overall in the 1991 NHL entry draft.

Coach Yan’s experience and knowledge in the Atlanta Hockey market, and in player development, are crucial to the growth of the MadHatters Hockey program and to its individual players and coaches. Yan is excited to be a part of our hockey program and to help play a part in the rapid growth in participation that is anticipated for the 20’-21’ season. Coach Sean has been promoted to Director of Hockey Operations and will work in conjunction with Coach Yan on the youth side, serving as assistant Hockey Director. The two directors have worked side by side in the Atlanta hockey community for over 10 years and will continue to promote and grow the MadHatter brand.

This is truly an exciting time to be a part of the Atlanta MadHatter family – we are thrilled with the direction of the program and are excited for the future of Atlanta Hockey!

Yours in Hockey,

Atlanta MadHatters Management
